Abu Dhabi T10: Delhi Bulls to meet Deccan Gladiators in finals

The Bulls will now face the Deccan Gladiators in the final, while in the third-place play-off on Saturday Team Abu Dhabi will take on Bangla Tigers. The Delhi Bulls scored 109/7 in their 10 overs, on the other hand Team Abu Dhabi had setlled for 60/10 in 8.3 overs and this is credited to Drakes for returning figures of 4/13 in his two overs.

Delhi Bulls made it to the finals of the Abu Dhabi T10. Dominic Drakes, Barbadian left-arm pace bowler helped Delhi Bulls to reach the final. He bowled a spectacular two overs in which he took four wickets and led the defeat of the Team Abu Dhabi in Qualifier 2. Delhi Bulls won with a margin of 49 runs. 

The Bulls will now face the Deccan Gladiators in the final, while in the third-place play-off on Saturday Team Abu Dhabi will take on Bangla Tigers.

Team Abu Dhabi's innings began with Philip Salt and Paul Stirling, gathering 23 runs off the first over. Philip hit two boundaries and a six off the first three deliveries and Paul struck two boundaries off Chandrapaul Hemraj's bowling.

However, Drakes made the journey of Team Abu Dhabi difficult and quite easier for his team- the Delhi Bulls, as he took the wickets of Salt and skipper Liam Livingstone in the second over.

Turning point came when Romario Shepherd tilted the match in favour of Delhi Bulls when he removed West Indian player Chris Gayle for 14 from 11 balls and Danny Briggs for nought in consecutive deliveries in the fifth over. Team Abu Dhabi were reduced to 44/6 and from thereon, they kept losing wickets at regular intervals and eventually folded up for 60.

During Delhi Bulls' innings, Rahmanullah Gurbaz got bowled out by Sheldon Cottrell on the first delivery, signaling a good start for Team Abu Dhabi. However Sherfane Rutherford helped the Bulls to gain momentum as he struck a four and a six in the second over.But later in the next over he was dismissed by Livingstone for 19 runs from eight balls.

Team Abu Dhabi maintained to put pressure on the Delhi Bulls by snatching up wickets at regular intervals. Livingstone challenged Bulls with magnificent figures of 2/7 in his two overs.

On the other hand Shepherd tried hard to get the runs for his team as he smacked Marchant de Lange for consecutive boundaries in the seventh over, but he was removed by Cottrell in the ninth over. Adil Rashid's breezy cameo of 13 runs from five balls helped the Bulls post 109/7 in their 10 overs.

Scores were: Delhi Bulls 109/7 (Romario Shepherd 26, Sherfane Rutherford 19; Liam Livingstone 2/7) beat Team Abu Dhabi 60 (Philip Salt 15, Chris Gayle 14; Dominic Drakes 4/13) by 49 runs.
