West Bengal's Governor, C.V. Ananda Bose, who is under investigation for misconduct with a lady official attached to the Raj Bhavan, on Friday expressed confidence that he would get back all clear in the case.
After coming back to his native state, Bose reiterated his resolve to root out corruption and violence, adding that he would continue with the same vigour irrespective of the odds.
At a press conference, he said, "My crusade against corruption and violence will continue without relent. Whatever oppression is being caused from the Centre and certain quarters within the Trinamool Congress, the truth will come out, and justice will be done."
The controversy surfaced Thursday when a temporary lady officer, who claims to have been attached to the Peace Room of the Raj Bhavan, told the media that the Governor had behaved inappropriately with her by promising to make her a permanent employee. She also lodged a formal police complaint at the Hare Street police station, which has jurisdiction over the Raj Bhavan.
In the face of the allegations, Bose denied any wrongdoing, insisting on his innocence in the matter.
