A day following the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to X to express the significance of the event. Sharing a video montage of the ceremony featuring the consecration of a new idol of Ram Lalla, Modi stated that the images from Ayodhya on January 22nd will be etched in the memories of the people for years to come.
In his post, Modi emphasized the momentous occasion in Ayodhya and called for a collective effort to go beyond the construction of the grand temple. He urged the nation to work towards building the foundation of a "strong, capable, and divine" India that will endure for the next 1,000 years.
During the inauguration of the temple, which marked the end of a long-standing campaign to reclaim a disputed religious site in Ayodhya, Modi declared it as the beginning of a new era.
