WATCH | PM Modi attends Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat, offers prayers at Kashi Vishwanath temple

There was a jampacked crowd of people that came to receive the Prime Minister; the Ghat was decorated and illuminated for the purpose. It was the fifth time that PM Modi attended the Ganga Aarti.

Tuesday evening saw Prime Minister Narendra Modi participating in the Ganga Pujan and thereafter, the Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat in Varanasi.

There was a jampacked crowd of people that came to receive the Prime Minister; the Ghat was decorated and illuminated for the purpose. It was the fifth time that PM Modi attended the Ganga Aarti.

The event was graced by Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath among others.

As the Prime Minister's convoy made way through the city, a spontaneous mini road show ensued where crowds cheered 'Modi Modi' and showered flower petals in his honor.

After this, the Prime Minister proceeded to the Kashi Vishwanath temple and  offerred prayers.
