Warning from Amit Shah: Opposition Threatens 'Babri Lock' on Ram Temple

Shah attacked the Congress party for delaying the Ram temple issue for the past 70 years. He reiterated Prime Minister Modi's efforts in solving the legal issues of the Ram Janmabhoomi and commencing the construction of the temple, citing the significance of the foundation-laying ceremony in January.

Addressing a rally at Lakhimpur Kheri, Union Home Minister Amit Shah directly attacked the stand of the opposition coalition over the issue of the Ram temple at Ayodhya. He cited how SP leader Prof. Ram Gopal Yadav had dismissed the issue of the Ram temple as "useless," hinting at the fact that if the opposition comes to power, they will even lock up the Ram temple as a symbolism, just like the Babri Masjid.

Moreover, he attacked the opposition for avoiding participation in the Ram Temple ceremony for the fear of losing votes and stated that the opposition avoided the sentiments of Lord Ram devotees in Uttar Pradesh.

Shah also clarified the opposition's attacks stating that a BJP government in power would scrape off reservation if it gets 400 seats in the on-going polls. He even stated how the BJP is performing well in the elections and how Modi-led BJP will win with flying colours.
