Union Home Minister Amit Shah has criticized the Congress, labeling it as the primary opponent of reservation policies for backward caste communities. Speaking at a rally in Bihar's Ujiarpur, Shah highlighted historical instances where the Congress allegedly obstructed the implementation of reservation recommendations.

The Home Minister emphasized the Narendra Modi government's initiatives, particularly the establishment of the Backward-Extremely Backward Commission. He praised the government's decision to allocate 27 percent reservation in AIIMS for doctors from backward and extremely backward communities, contrasting it with the Congress's alleged neglect of reservation issues.

Shah criticized instances where he claimed the Congress favored certain communities over others, such as providing overnight OBC reservation to the Muslim community in Karnataka and allocating reservation percentages in Andhra Pradesh.

Addressing Lalu Prasad Yadav, Shah accused him of aligning with the Congress, despite claiming to support the backward community.

Shah commended the government's decision to posthumously award socialist leader Karpoori Thakur with the Bharat Ratna for his contributions to the welfare of the poor, including his advocacy for the inclusion of Maithili language in the Eighth Schedule during the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government.

The Home Minister also targeted the INDIA bloc, alleging corruption within its constituent parties, citing recent instances of unaccounted cash found in the residences of their leaders.

Finally, Shah praised MoS Home and BJP's Ujiarpur candidate Nityanand Rai for his dedication and effective management during the pandemic, highlighting his role in distributing vaccines and oxygen concentrators across the country.
