UP Gangrape: BJP Challenges Akhilesh and Rahul to Meet Minor Victim of ‘Islamic Jihad’

Going live on social media website X, Malviya, BJP's National Information & Technology Department chief, gave a strong rebuke, saying, "Rahul Gandhi, head of the new Muslim League, will not come to Moradabad to meet this Dalit family as the accused are Salman, Zubair, Rashid, and Arif."

BJP leader Amit Malviya on Friday sharply criticized what he called "politics of appeasement" and dared Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to go see the Dalit minor who was allegedly kidnapped and gang-raped for two months in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad district.

Lashing out at politicians who, in his opinion, refuse to take a strong stance against criminals belonging to a specific community, Malviya wrote in Hindi, "Akhilesh Yadav, who now praises Aurangzeb and has cursed Maha Kumbh, seems to have lost his voice."

Superintendent of Police Kunwar Akash Singh has confirmed that the case surfaced on March 3, and three suspects, including the prime accused, have been arrested.

Sharing a portion of the FIR filed at Bhagatpur police station based on the victim's complaint, Malviya alleged that the girl was threatened into silence, with warnings that her uncle and brother would be killed and she and her aunt abducted if she reported the crime.

The victim also disclosed that the attackers said they were getting huge amounts of money for 'Islamic Jihad,' and that a number of Hindu girls had already been converted," Malviya wrote.

Demanding quick justice, Malviya asked for a detailed investigation into what he termed a "hazardous ideology" gaining traction in society. "This whole case should be properly investigated, securing justice for the minor Dalit girl and at the same time taking strict action to root out this emerging threat," he said.

The FIR quote posted by Malviya also accused Salman, the main accused, of bragging to the victim about having converted many women to Islam. The complaint also stated that the perpetrators tried to remove a tattoo of a Hindu god from her hand using acid and repeatedly threatened to scar her face using the same chemical.

Having subjected me to sexual abuse for two months, Salman left me in Bhojpur," the victim had mentioned in the FIR.
