Sunita Kejriwal, the wife of Delhi's Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, paid her third visit to her husband who is currently under the custody of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the excise policy case. Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP convenor, was detained by the probe agency on March 21.
The meeting between Sunita Kejriwal and the Delhi CM took place at the ED office situated on the A.P.J Abdul Kalam Road. This marks her third visit to meet Kejriwal, following her meetings on Saturday and Sunday at the same location.
Accompanied by Bibhav Kumar, the personal assistant of the Delhi CM, Sunita Kejriwal has been granted permission to meet him daily for half an hour between 6-7 p.m., alongside his consultations with legal representatives.
Officials confirmed that the meeting was conducted in accordance with the directives issued by the court.
In parallel with these developments, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) launched the 'DP Campaign', as declared by Delhi Minister Atishi.
Under this initiative, all AAP leaders and members are set to update their social media profile pictures.
Atishi highlighted that this social media drive aims to disseminate the essence of Arvind Kejriwal and his visionary aspirations to every household.
Encouraging participation, Atishi urged individuals to download a picture from IndiaWithKejriwal.com and utilize it as their profile image.
Arvind Kejriwal, apprehended on March 21 and subsequently remanded to ED custody until March 28 by a Delhi court, is confronted with allegations of involvement in a conspiracy linked to the formulation of an excise policy favoring specific individuals.
Additionally, Kejriwal has been accused of soliciting kickbacks from liquor businessmen in exchange for favorable treatment, as asserted by the probe agency.
However, the AAP leader vehemently refuted the accusations leveled against him.
The ED has asserted that Kejriwal is the "kingpin and key conspirator" in the now-defunct excise policy, acting in collusion with AAP ministers, leaders, and other individuals.
