Sunita Kejriwal, spouse of the apprehended Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, made a visit to her husband, who is presently in the custody of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) due to his involvement in an excise policy case, at the agency's premises on Sunday evening.
Reports suggest that she arrived at the ED office situated on the A.P.J Abdul Kalam Road around 7 p.m., accompanied by an aide carrying a bag containing food for her husband.
This marks her second encounter with her husband since his detention.
She had also visited Kejriwal at the ED office the day before.
Per a special provision outlined in the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), Sunita Kejriwal, along with Kejriwal's personal assistant Bibhav Kumar, is permitted to meet him daily for thirty minutes between 6-7 p.m., in addition to his consultations with his legal advisors.
The meeting was held in accordance with the court's directives, as affirmed by officials.
On Sunday, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) took to the streets of Delhi to express their dissent against Kejriwal's arrest by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the excise policy case, organizing candlelight marches.
Protests in Kalkaji were spearheaded by senior AAP figure and Delhi Minister Atishi, while demonstrations were led by INDIA candidate from East Delhi Lok Sabha constituency and MLA Kuldeep Kumar, along with Burari MLA Sanjeev Jha.
