In his post, Modi emphasized the profound significance of Murty's appointment to the Upper House, highlighting it as a powerful embodiment of "Nari Shakti" or women power. He underscored the pivotal role women play in shaping the nation's trajectory and expressed confidence in Murty's ability to further contribute to this cause.
Extending warm wishes for a fruitful tenure, Modi expressed his delight over President of India's nomination of Sudha Murty Ji to the Rajya Sabha. He commended her exceptional achievements in realms such as social work, philanthropy, and education, noting their immense impact and inspiration.

Sudha Murty, the spouse of Infosys co-founder N R Narayana Murthy, also serves as the chairperson of the Murty Trust and is a prolific author. Her 73-year journey, culminating in this nomination on International Women's Day, is marked by numerous accolades, including the Padma Shri in 2006 and the Padma Bhushan in 2023.
