Samajwadi Party Unveils Six New Candidates for Lok Sabha, Pilibhit Included

The Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh has unveiled its latest roster of candidates for the imminent Lok Sabha elections.

In a strategic move, Ziaur-Rehman Barq has been nominated to contend for the Sambhal seat, succeeding his late grandfather, Shafiqur-Rehman Barq, the incumbent MP.

Meanwhile, Manoj Chaudhary has been put forward as the SP's candidate for the Baghpat constituency, with Rahul Awana stepping up for Gautam Buddha Nagar.

Rajiv Rai has been entrusted with representing the party in the Ghosi Lok Sabha constituency, while Rajendra Bind has been selected to vie for the Mirzapur seat.

Notably, Bhagwat Sharan Gangwar has been designated as the SP's nominee for Pilibhit, putting an end to speculations surrounding the candidacy of incumbent BJP MP Varun Gandhi.

Insiders suggest that Varun Gandhi is likely to either contest on a BJP ticket or run independently in the upcoming elections.
