Ram Temple to Serve as a Beacon of Inspiration for Sanatan Dharma Centers: CM Yogi

Speaking on the fact that truth cannot be hidden forever, he said: "Today, the country and the world witness the grand temple of Lord Ram Lalla at Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya as a testament to that truth."

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath attended the first anniversary of Ram Lalla's Pran-Pratishtha (consecration ceremony) at the grand Ram Janmabhoomi temple on Saturday and sought the blessings of Lord Ram.

Speaking on the fact that truth cannot be hidden forever, he said: "Today, the country and the world witness the grand temple of Lord Ram Lalla at Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya as a testament to that truth."

He said the majestic temple construction would be a befitting answer to all the oppressed civilizations and cultures of the world, which now could regain their rights through democratic and constitutional means.

"After making innumerable sacrifices for Ram Janmabhoomi and withstanding an 'Agnipariksha' by upholding high values, there was a lot of restraint associated with this movement. It is a path that we all have to tread, he added.

During the event held at Angad Tila, the Chief Minister lit a lamp and offered floral tributes to the image of Shri Ram Lalla. He also paid homage to Ashok Singhal.

The Chief Minister said, as per Hindu calendar, three-day event of Pratishtha-Dwadashi Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has been conducted to mark one year of Pran-Pratishtha of Lord Ramlala's idol at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi.

He said, "On December 22, 1949, Ram Lalla introduced himself at the birthplace; that was the start of the long and testing journey. Here we stand, one year into Pran-Pratishtha, bursting with pride and elation, gracing this felicitous occasion. Many giddy dates passed during which every Indian showed patience and dignity while crossing the 'Agnipariksha.' Nevertheless, the focused aim was towards the rightful placing of Lord Shri Ram only.

The Chief Minister reminded the audience of this history of progress that led up to this time.

"On November 9, 2019, the judiciary unanimously ruled that the site of the disputed structure in Ayodhya is indeed Ram Janmabhoomi, and directed the formation of a trust to facilitate the construction of a grand temple."

He further noted: "On August 5, 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Ayodhya Dham to inaugurate the grand Ram temple program for Lord Ram. Finally, on January 22, 2024 (Paush Shukla Dwadashi), PM Modi, in the presence of saints and leaders from across the nation, brought an end to a 500-year wait by consecrating Ram Lalla at His birthplace."

Yogi Adityanath said that Ayodhya has now truly reclaimed its identity as Ayodhya.

"The capital of Suryavansh, Ayodhya, has become the country's first solar city. This is the new Uttar Pradesh of a new India, and the new Ayodhya of this Uttar Pradesh is connecting the entire nation with the pride of being a sacred pilgrimage site."

This did not happen overnight but was due to a prolonged and painful fight.

"Dozens of generations came and went, with a solitary wish -- Lord Ram Lalla sits in Ayodhya. A lot of the saints and sadhus left without ever seeing this come true, yet their will remained unbroken. We are so lucky to live to see that historic moment, with our eyes."

He also remembered that his lineage had participated in this movement for three generations.

"Although I could not meet Pujya Mahant Digvijaynath Maharaj, I heard many stories from Pujya Gurudev. I remember in 2014, when Pujya Gurudev was taking his last breath, he had a final conversation with Ashok Singhal ji in the hospital. For many days, Guruji couldn't speak, but as I looked at Ashok ji, he finally asked, 'The Ram Mandir will be built, right?' Ashok ji reassured him, 'Get well, the temple will definitely be built.' A few days later, Gurudev departed from his physical form."

The Chief Minister further stated that for four years, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust functioned relentlessly without any discrimination of day and night, sunshine and rain. The only concern was to provide the temple a magnificent form along with connecting it to the Pran-Pratishtha ceremony of Lord Ram Lalla.

"Millions of Ram devotees would be accommodated with the arrangement made here. The Trust is toiling day and night to get the wishes fulfilled by the devotees. After completing the whole complex, this would set the benchmark of building religious places for Sanatan Dharma. The grand temple here at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi would inspire everybody else's places of Sanatan Dharma all over again.

During the Pran-Pratishtha ceremony, Chief Minister of the state told that Prime Minister Modi had addressed the people of the country by saying, "Lord Ram is the symbol of the nation. If there is Ram, there is a nation, and if there is a nation, there is Ram. Both are inseparable and complement each other."

He further reiterated the fact that those deities brought India into existence; today India survives because of such deities. Under PM Modi, New India is being formulated.
