PM Modi files nomination from Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency for third consecutive term

​​​​​​​According to the Prime Minister's program, after paying a floral tribute at the statue of Madan Mohan Malviya at the entrance of Banaras Hindu University in Lanka, the roadshow would start and culminate at the iconic Kashi Vishwanath Corridor.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi would formally declare his candidature for the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh. Before that, he would take out a colorful roadshow in his parliamentary constituency on May 13, district authorities said.

According to the Prime Minister's program, after paying a floral tribute at the statue of Madan Mohan Malviya at the entrance of Banaras Hindu University in Lanka, the roadshow would start and culminate at the iconic Kashi Vishwanath Corridor.

The roadshow, which would be attended by lakhs, would travel a distance of five kilometers passing through Assi, Sonarpura, Jangam Bari, Godaulia, and Bansphatak, lined by cheering supporters. BJP leader Dilip Patel said that the event is being projected as one of the biggest events and a grand welcome for PM Modi.

Elaborate arrangements are being made to make the roadshow historic, with minute-by-minute plans being assigned to party workers. Meetings would be held in all the Assembly constituencies of the Varanasi parliamentary constituency on Wednesday. Follow-up meetings would be held in all the 21 divisions, with the target of bringing in a large number of party workers.

Varanasi is a stronghold for the Prime Minister, having won the constituency in both the 2014 and 2019 elections.
