Prime Minister Modi Leads Late-Night Election Strategy Session

Chaired by BJP National President J.P. On Thursday, the BJP's Central Election Committee (CEC) convened at the party's headquarters in the national capital to deliberate on the initial slate of candidates for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, as per party insiders.

Earlier in the day, a significant gathering took place at Prime Minister Modi's official residence, attended by Amit Shah, J.P. Nadda, and other dignitaries.

Among those in attendance at the BJP's CEC meeting were Union Ministers Mansukh Mandaviya, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.

Additionally, Deputy Chief Ministers from BJP-ruled states, state party in-charges, co-election in-charges, and senior figures from State Core Committees dedicated to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections were present at the CEC gathering.

Anticipating the Lok Sabha polls, the BJP's CEC convened to deliberate on potential candidates for over 150 Lok Sabha seats, encompassing states like Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Telangana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Uttarakhand, Goa, Jharkhand, Delhi, Tripura, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, among others.

Sources within the BJP indicate that the party is likely to unveil its initial list of Lok Sabha candidates by Friday.
