Portfolios of Modi 3.0 Council of Ministers Announced, BJP Retains Top 4 Ministries | Here's Complete List of Portfolios

The portfolios of the ministers were announced  after the first meeting of the 30-member Union Cabinet , led by Prime Minister Modi on Monday, a day after the oath-taking ceremony.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari have all retained their ministries in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Council of Ministers in his third term.

The portfolios of the ministers were announced  after the first meeting of the 30-member Union Cabinet , led by Prime Minister Modi on Monday, a day after the oath-taking ceremony.

Other key ministers from Modi's second term who have retained their portfolios include Hardeep Puri (Petroleum and Natural Gas), Ashwani Vaishnaw (Railways and Electronics and Information Technology), Piyush Goyal (Commerce and Industry), Dharmendra Pradhan (Education), and Sarbananda Sonowal (Ports, Shipping, and Waterways). Additionally, Vaishnaw has been assigned the Information and Broadcasting portfolio.

BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda, returning to the government, has been assigned Health and Family Welfare, a role he previously held in Modi's first term. He also takes on additional responsibilities for Chemicals and Fertilisers.

Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, in his debut role in the Union Cabinet, has been given  the Agriculture and Rural Development ministries. Former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, also joining the Union Cabinet for the first time, has been given the ministries of Housing, Urban Affairs and Power.

From the coalition partners, TDP's Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu has been appointed as the Civil Aviation Minister, Janata Dal-Secular's H. D. Kumaraswamy will oversee Heavy Industry and Steel, HAM-S's Jitan Ram Manjhi has taken the role of MSME Industry Minister, Janata Dal-United's Rajiv Ranjan Singh, also known as Lalan Singh, has been assigned Panchayati Raj and Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying portfolios, while Lok Janshakti Party-Ram Vilas leader Chirag Paswan has become the Minister for Food Processing Industries.
