Population of Hindus, Adivasis on decline in J''Khand, Says PM Modi

Attacking the JMM, Modi said: "The time is ripe for 'Parivartan' in Jharkhand to safeguard 'beti, mati, roti' and fight corruption. The JMM-led coalition is playing a dangerous game, jeopardising the identity, culture, and traditions of the people while patronising infiltrators." Modi was addressing the last programme of the BJP's Parivartan Yatra, which covered nearly 5,400 km across all 81 assembly segments.

The Hindu and Adivasi population in Jharkhand is now dwindling, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday. The JMM-led coalition government is playing dangerous "vote bank politics" by siding with infiltrators at the expense of the state's identity, culture and heritage, he added.
"You have to throw such forces out for the sake of mati, beti, roti," he said.

Modi lashed out at the Coalition as being careless, saying that several aspirants who wanted to become excise constables lost their lives in killing sprees during recruitment drives.
Modi will make his second trip to Jharkhand in nearly two weeks as election to the 81-member assembly gathers pace, with the present Vidhan Sabha set to end on January 5.

As he arrived Modi waved to thousands of supporters, mounting a special open vehicle and addressed a few members of the tribal community. Women present him with a 'kalash' full of soil collected from the 'Parivartan Yatra' as a promise to fulfill their promise for 'mati, beti, roti.' Union Home Minister Amit Shah had kick-started BJP's Parivartan Yatra on September 20 from Sahibganj. As many as six yatras took off from various places in the state on that day, comprising all 81 assembly constituencies in 24 districts, which conclude today.
