During his three-day trip to Jaipur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a crucial message to Rajasthan MLAs and Ministers, urging them to steer clear of factionalism and corruption. The Prime Minister engaged in discussions with MLAs, Ministers, and BJP officials on Friday night at the party's state office in Jaipur.
Addressing the assembly, Modi raised queries about the Congress's defeat in the November 2023 Assembly elections. In response, some legislators pointed to corruption as a significant factor. Modi sternly advised the MLAs, stating, "You have to stay away from factionalism and corruption. The party is closely monitoring all your activities."
Emphasizing a long-term perspective, the Prime Minister urged the legislators not to focus solely on the five-year tenure but to work with the goal of securing a repeat government in the subsequent term. He stressed, "We have to work ahead with the idea that the government should repeat after five years."
Modi encouraged MLAs to analyze both the booths where they faced defeat and those where they emerged victorious. He suggested reflecting on the factors contributing to their success and learning from their losses. The Prime Minister cautioned against complacency and reminded them that sustained efforts on the ground were crucial for electoral success.
In addition, Modi advised MLAs to refrain from interfering in transfer-posting decisions related to officers, emphasizing that their role should be focused on ensuring effective work rather than micromanaging administrative matters. He emphasized, "All the officers work; you just need to know how to get the work done."
The Prime Minister's guidance underscores the importance of ethical conduct, dedicated grassroots efforts, and a forward-looking approach for the Rajasthan MLAs and Ministers.
