Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again reaffirmed his position as one of the most esteemed leaders globally, surpassing numerous counterparts from Western nations. Despite being heads of the world's most influential economies like the United States, United Kingdom, and Germany, these leaders find themselves trailing behind in terms of both domestic and international popularity.
According to the latest Morning Consult survey, Prime Minister Modi boasts an impressive approval rating of 78%, indicative of the overwhelming support he garners from the populace. Notably, he has consistently dominated the Morning Consult charts throughout both NDA 1.0 and NDA 2.0 tenures.
Among the surveyed leaders, Prime Minister Modi stands as the sole individual with an approval rating surpassing the 70% mark, while the majority fall below the 50% threshold.
Following closely behind is Mexico's President Andres Obrador, securing a commendable 65% approval rating, trailed by Argentina's President Javier Milei with 63%.
In fourth place sits Poland's Donald Tusk, boasting a respectable 50% approval rating, closely followed by Switzerland's President Viola Amherd with a rating of 51%.
The data for Morning Consult's latest approval ratings was collected between January 30 and February 5, utilizing a seven-day moving average of opinions among adults in each surveyed country. Morning Consult, a reputable US-based survey agency, conducted the research.
Contrastingly, prominent leaders such as US President Joe Biden, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz—often perceived as influential figures—are positioned towards the middle or bottom of the table. Biden's approval stands at 37%, while Sunak and Olaf garnered slightly over 20% approval ratings.
