Warm congratulations were extended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Keir Starmer on the landslide victory of the Labour Party in the UK general election under his leadership.

Looking forward to our positive and constructive partnership to strengthen further the India-UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in all domains and foster mutual growth and prosperity PM Modi said in his message posted on X."
The 61-year-old leader is now set to become Britain's 58th Prime Minister, with Labour making a comeback to power after 14 years through this historic victory.
"The change starts right here because this is your democracy, your community and your future. You have voted and now it is time for us to deliver," Starmer said after winning the elections by a landslide.
It was on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in Apulia, Italy, during his meeting with UK PM Rishi Sunak, that Prime Minister Modi showcased a reiteration of the commitment his government in its third term as an NDA government would give towards pursuing a much deeper Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with the UK.
"There is tremendous scope to strengthen ties in fields like semiconductors, technology, and commerce," PM Modi said after a meeting with Sunak.
The two leaders had extensive discussions on implementing Roadmap 2030 and expressed satisfaction over progress in all areas of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, including regular high-level political consultations, defense and security cooperation, trade and economic cooperation, critical and high-tech areas, people-to-people ties.
