According to a recent opinion poll conducted by TV9 Bharatvarsh, Polstrat, and People's Insights, the BJP-led NDA is poised to secure a comfortable victory for a third consecutive term, securing over 360 seats. In contrast, the INDIA bloc is projected to lag significantly behind, with only around one-third of the NDA's projected seats.
The survey, carried out from April 7 to 13 with a sizable sample of 25 lakh respondents, indicates that the NDA, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is expected to clinch 362 seats, while the INDIA bloc is forecasted to garner merely 120 seats.
In terms of regional dynamics, the poll suggests that the BJP is likely to maintain its dominance in Uttar Pradesh, securing 64 out of the 80 seats. Conversely, the Samajwadi Party, the Bahujan Samaj Party, and the Congress are anticipated to face challenges in making significant electoral gains in the state.
The battle in Maharashtra, the second-largest battleground with 48 seats, appears to be more evenly contested. The MahaYuti alliance, consisting of the BJP, the Shiv Sena, and the NCP, is projected to secure 28 seats, while the MVA coalition, comprising the Shiv Sena-UBT, the NCP-SP, and the Congress, is expected to win the remaining 20 seats.
