PM Modi Acting At His Will On Foreign Policy Says Mallikarjun Kharge On Maldives row

Addressing reporters in Kalaburagi, Kharge emphasized the importance of maintaining amicable relations with neighboring countries at the international level.

Mallikarjun Kharge, the Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha and Congress chief, recently expressed his views on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's handling of foreign policy matters, suggesting that the Prime Minister tends to act autonomously in these spheres.

Addressing reporters in Kalaburagi, Kharge emphasized the importance of maintaining amicable relations with neighboring countries at the international level. He noted the necessity of fostering good terms while being prepared for potential challenges or adversities. Kharge drew a parallel to the way the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had played a crucial role in the creation of Bangladesh from Pakistan during a tumultuous period.

Kharge raised concerns about Prime Minister Modi's approach to foreign policy matters, indicating that Modi seems to be personally overseeing these affairs. He remarked on Modi's tendency to embrace or criticize individuals at his discretion, emphasizing the need for unity among people and their leaders to collectively progress. However, Kharge stressed the importance of standing up against attacks or actions that go against the country's interests.

Additionally, Kharge shed light on the Indian National Democratic Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) bloc's unity, highlighting their intention to collaborate and move forward together. He mentioned the organization of meetings in New Delhi, appointing observers to all Parliamentary constituencies as part of their strategy.
