Trinamool isolated politically in its fight against probe agencies
The ruling TMC is fighting a lonely political battle against these central agencies' probes under which the roles of several TMC leaders including the party’s national general secretary and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee’s nephew, Abhishek Banerjee have come under the scanner. While the BJP is going hammer and tongs highlighting the central probe agencies against the TMC, the other anti- BJP opposition parties in the state like the Congress and the Left Front too are welcoming the CBI and ED probes in a big way.

Uma Bharti slams Shivraj; seeks Nadda's intervention on liquor policy
Earlier, Bharti made headlines on the issue either by throwing stones at liquor shop or sitting on protest in front of liquor shops and expressing her resentment against top BJP leadership, including Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Chouhan. However, for the first time, she took this issue publicly to the party's national president. Bharti made the letter public on her Twitter account.
CM Shinde, Fadnavis meet PM Modi
The Prime Minister's Office tweeted: "The Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri @mieknathshinde and the Deputy Chief Minister Shri @Dev_Fadnavis called on PM." Earlier on Saturday, before meeting PM Modi, Shinde and Fadnavis addressed the media here. Answering a question about portfolio allocation, Shinde said: "Tomorrow is Aashadhi Ekadashi. We (Shinde and Fadnavis) will meet in Mumbai after that and then discuss portfolio allocation."
Want local body polls after decision on OBC quota: Maha CM
On June 1, the Maharashtra State Election Commission (SEC) had gone ahead declaring local body elections without the provision of reservation for Other Backward Classes (OBC). In fact, it has issued notification for polls to some lower level civic bodies in August first week too. Cutting across political ideologies, all parties in Maharashtra are in favour of reservation to OBCs and the opposition Nationalist Congress Party-Congress-Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) have also demanded deferring the polls till the issue is resolved.

Congress denies reports of Goa MLAs joining BJP
Sources said that Rao arrived in Goa to persuade the MLAs who have made their minds to join BJP. These Congress MLAs (group) who are keen to join BJP have demanded three cabinet berths and other key posts, sources said. "Goa is always full of speculations. Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde to expand cabinet in a couple of days
