Uddhav Thackeray 'expels' two Shiv Sena ex-ministers

The expelled leaders are former state minister Ramdas Kadam and former Union minister Anandrao Adsul, who have been accused of indulging in anti-party activities as the ground for their expulsion. The move came amid intense speculation in Mumbai and New Delhi that a dozen Shiv Sena MPs are likely to join the group of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and could announce their decision soon.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi cast his votes at a polling booth in Parliament House. The ruling BJP-led NDA has fielded Draupadi Murmu as its candidate while opposition has fielded former Union Minister Yashwant Sinha as their joint candidate. Polling started at 10 a.m. at booths set up inside Parliament and state Assemblies where MPs and MLAs were casting their votes.

The action was initiated on account of the June 13 incident when he allegedly manhandled two Congress youths who were protesting against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in the flight. The young protesters have also been banned for two weeks. While Jayarajan first said he has no knowledge about the ban, one of the youth protesters told the media that he got a mail from the airlines on Saturday banning him for two weeks.
RS adjourned for the day amid Oppn ruckus over Agnipath, inflation

MP civic polls: Ruling BJP wins 7 mayoral posts, Congress 3

Results for 11 of the 16 Municipal Corporations were announced late on Sunday.  BJP has won the post of mayor in five municipal corporations - Bhopal, Indore, Burhanpur, Satna, Khandwa, Sagar and Ujjain, while the Congress registered wins in three - Gwalior and Jabalpur and Chhindwara.
