BJP prepares strategy for party's statewide expansion in Bihar

The BJP has prepared a strategy to win more than 35 of the 40 Lok Sabha seats in the state in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. In a meeting chaired by J.P. Nadda, in the presence of Amit Shah at the party's national headquarters, the party has given clear instructions to its leaders in the state to strengthen the party's base in the whole of Bihar, party sources said. Senior party leaders associated with the state were told to expose the "deceitful" alliance by going among the public and winning more than 35 seats in Bihar in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, they added.
KC Venugopal questioned by CBI in solar scam sexual exploitation case

As per the CBI sources, the Congress leader was was questioned last week. However, the probe agency has not made any official statement in this regard. The prime accused, who allegedly cheated innocent people by promising solar solutions and shares in solar energy projects, in 2013 had written to the top Kerala cop alleging that she was sexually exploited by then MLA and now MP Hibi Eden, K.C. Venugopal, former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, former minister A.P. Anil Kumar, Congress MP Adoor Prakash, and BJP leader A.P. Abdullah Kutty.
ED raids offices of TV channel head close to Mamata Banerjee

An ED source confirmed the raid, but refused to cite the reason for this development. Attempts to contact Roy for his comments failed as his mobile phone kept on ringing. K.S. Eshwarappa, BJP MLA from Shivamogga and former minister stated on Tuesday that if Hindu community rises, there is no question of survival of goondas belonging to Muslim community. Eshwarappa met Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai over the development and stated that he won't categorise all Muslims as goondas. "That community should have criticised a group of four or five miscreants indulging in such acts. That task has to be done by the Muslim community leaders," he said.
Nitish Kumar calls 1st cabinet meeting to distribute portfolios to ministers

Nitish Kumar has called for the first Cabinet meeting at 4.30 p.m. on Tuesday where the new Ministers will receive their portfolios. "The distribution of the various state departments will be done during the Cabinet meeting on Tuesday. Now Bihar will move on the path of development with full speed," the Chief Minister added. Nitish Kumar is likely to retain the Home Minister and General Administration portfolios in the Bihar government and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav will become the new Health Minister. JD-U's Vijay Kumar Choudhary is expected to become the new Bihar Finance Minister.
