Gujarat Assembly polls: BJP releases second list of six candidates
The six seats from which the saffron party has announced the candidates in the second list will go to polls on December 1.
The candidates, who were able to make it to the second list of the BJP, are Mahendrabhai Padlia from Dhoraji, Mullubhai Bera from Khambhalia, Dhelibehan Maldebai Odedara from Kutiyana, Sejal Rajiv Kumar Pandya from Bhavnagar East, Hitesh Devji Vasava from Dediapada and Sandeep Desai from Choryasi.

'Used to look out for girls visiting campus': Nitish reminisces about student days
"When I was studying in Engineering College Patna, there were only male students studying there. Whenever a girl of a family came to the campus, the entire students went there to see her. There was no co-education at that time. When I became the Chief Minister of the state, I promoted girls students with various schemes to empower them. Our special focus is on female students and a number of them are studying in engineering colleges now," he said while addressing students and teachers on the occasion of Education Day ceremony in Sri Krishna Memorial Hall at East Gandhi Maidan.
Polling begins in Himachal to elect 68-member Assembly
"Despite the cold weather and minor hiccups at polling stations at some places, there was no report of any delay in starting the poll process," an electoral officer told IANS. Out of 412 candidates in the fray, 24 are women and 388 men. A total of 55,92,828 voters will elect their representatives. Of them, 193,106 are first-time voters in the age of 18-19 years.

BJP workers and supporters lined up on either side of the road from INS Dega to Naval Dockyard to welcome the Prime Minister. Sitting in his vehicle, Modi waved at the crowd amid cheers by the BJP supporters, who were carrying BJP flags and placards. The road show was held for 1.5 km amid tight security by the police and other security agencies.

Both these bills will take the form of law if the Centre includes them in the Schedule. It is also to be noted that the laws included in the Ninth Schedule cannot be challenged in the court. Chief Minister Hemant Soren while describing the bills as historic, added that the previous government reduced the OBC reservation in the state.
