In the just concluded elections to three states there, the BJP has captured Tripura for the second time in a row, in Nagaland it has won with the NDPP and in Meghalaya the party was quick to support the NPP. The Congress is in crisis with the party splitting in various states. In Meghalaya Mukul Sangma walked over to the Trinamool Congress with all his MLAs.
Trinamool comes a cropper in Tripura, consolation prize in Meghalaya
Former Chief Minister Mukul Sangma (2010-2018), one of the key leaders of the Trinamool Congress in Meghalaya, contested from two assembly seats -- Songsak and Tikrikilla - both in the Garo hills. Sangma, opposition leader in the outgoing assembly, won the Songsak seat by a thin margin of 372 votes defeating ruling National People's Party (NPP) candidate Nihim D Shira.
Manish Sisodia to be produced at Delhi court in excise scam case
The source said that Sisodia will be produced by 2 p.m. on Saturday. The sources have also claimed that they would further seek the custodial remand of Sisodia. The CBI sources have claimed that the former Aam Aadmi Party Minister was still evasive and was not cooperating. The central probe agency sources said that in January they seized a computer from the office of Sisodia.

Sisodia moves Delhi court seeking bail in liquor policy case
Special Judge M.K. Nagpal on Monday sent Sisodia to the custody of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for five days. The custody ends on March 4. The probe agency arrested Sisodia on February 26 after eight hours of questioning. Sisodia had moved the Supreme Court challenging his arrest by the CBI on Tuesday.
Sukesh's another letter levels fresh allegations against Kejriwal
Chandrashekhar, who is lodged in the national capital's Mandoli jail, has alleged in his five-page letter that Sisodia's arrest by CBI is just a starting and that he has "looted commissions" in every department that he was heading as being a Deputy Chief Minister. "All that matters to them (AAP leaders Kejriwal, Sisodia and Jain) is commission," he wrote.
