Bihar migrants row: Delhi HC grants pre-arrest bail to UP BJP leader till March 20
Umrao moved the High Court on Monday seeking transit pre-arrest bail after the TN Police lodged an FIR against him for allegedly disseminating false information claiming attacks on migrant workers from Bihar in the southern state. TN's Thoothukudi Central Police Station registered the FIR against Umrao under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) such as provocation with intent to cause riot, provoking breach of peace and statement leading to public mischief, promoting enmity and hatred.

Delhi Excise Policy case: CBI questioning Sisodia's PA
A senior CBI official told IANS that Sharma joined the probe on Tuesday and was being interrogated. "While questioning Sisoda, his PA's alleged role emerged after which we decided to question him," said the official. Sisodia was sent to judicial custody by a Special CBI court after the probe agency told the court that he wasn't required for further interrogation. CBI has filed one chargesheet.

According to sources, the health condition of Lalu Prasad is not good after his knee surgery and he is not able to speak. On Monday, Lalu Yadav's wife and former chief minister Rabri Devi was interrogated for almost four hours in Bihar by the probe agency. A senior CBI official, on condition of anonymity, told IANS that it was only further investigation on the basis of fresh inputs and evidence.

ED team to question Sisodia in Tihar Jail
The ED has taken the necessary permissions from the authorities concerned and a team will be in the jail at 11 a.m. There are possibilities that the ED might arrest Sisodia after the questioning. The ED will question him in connection with the alleged kickbacks of Rs 100 crore which the AAP party/leaders allegedly received through hawala channels from a South Group.
UP to set new record in sugarcane payments to farmers
The milestone has been achieved in the six years since the Yogi Adityanath government came to power for the first time in March 2017. According to sugar industry and cane development minister Chaudhary Laxmi Narayan, Rs 65 crore for the current crushing season was transferred to farmers on Monday after which the total dues paid over the last six years crossed the Rs 2 lakh crore.
