Telangana HC adjourns hearing on Bandi Sanjay's plea to April 10

A bench headed by Chief Justice Ujjal Bhuyan took up for hearing a lunch motion petition filed by Sanjay's lawyer and directed the police to file a counter affidavit.The court also told Sanjay that he may approach the court concerned for bail. Delhi High Court denies bail to Satyendar Jain, aides in PMLA case

Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma said that Jain is an influential person and cannot be said to have satisfied the twin conditions for bail under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). "The simple fact is the CBI has filed a case of disproportionate assets (DA). The present court cannot go into the validity of these proceedings.
PM should ensure release of 8 ex-naval officers arrested in Qatar: Congress

The retired Indian Navy officers were involved in training the Qatari Emiri Naval Force. Demanding their release, party General Secretary Jairam Ramesh stated that the eight have reportedly been placed in solitary confinement.
