Oli Expresses Gratitude to PM Modi, Commits to Strengthening India-Nepal Relations

Earlier in the day, Nepal's President Ram Chandra Poudel swore in 72-year-old Communist Party of Nepal Unified Marxist Leninist, CPN-UML chief Oli as PM for the fourth time. Modi did, on his part, congratulate Oli over his assumption of the office of prime minister and extended all good wishes for his successful tenure, looking forward to working closely with him to deepen the friendship and cooperation between India and Nepal. Nepal's Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the congratulatory message and assured the latter of strengthening the age-old ties between the two neighbouring countries. K P Sharma Oli wrote on X: "Thank you, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for your gracious best wishes. I am committed to working together with you to make Nepal-India relations stronger, which will benefit both of us. Together, we shall propel our rich-historic ties to newer heights.".
