'Not scared of calls to smash my head': PM Modi response to Congress Leader's Rally Remarks in Chhattisgarh

This inflammatory rhetoric, delivered in support of Congress candidate Bhupesh Baghel, prompted legal action against Mahant, who was subsequently charged under section 506 of the Indian Penal Code for criminal intimidation.

Addressing a gathering in Chhattisgarh's Bastar Lok Sabha constituency, PM Modi reaffirmed his resolve in combating corruption, dismissing threats from the opposition. He asserted, "The Congress has resorted to threatening me with physical harm, but such tactics do not deter me. By dismantling their entrenched corruption, I have earned their ire."

Reflecting on the historic grip of corruption post-Independence, PM Modi underscored his administration's unwavering stance against malfeasance. ""After Independence, the Congress thought that it had the license to loot the country," he said.
