The core committee meeting of the JD-U, led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, has concluded in Patna, and sources suggest that he is set to take the oath for the ninth time in Bihar on the following Sunday. The meeting included leaders like Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Lalan Singh, Ashok Chaudhary, Sanjay Kumar Jha, and Bijendra Yadav, among others. The JD-U has reportedly gathered the signatures of all its MLAs during the meeting.
Additionally, the BJP has held a core committee meeting at its headquarters, with all MLAs in attendance. They are expected to collect signatures from the MLAs and present them to Nitish Kumar.
Sources indicate that Nitish Kumar will visit the governor's house by 7 p.m. on Saturday to submit the list of MLAs, along with his resignation, and stake a claim to form a new government. The likelihood of a swearing-in ceremony at Raj Bhawan is strengthened by the fact that the Chief Minister's Office has instructed officials to open the cabinet secretariat on Sunday, which is typically a weekly off for officials.
Further, the cancellation of leave for all officials at Raj Bhawan Patna adds to the indications that preparations for the swearing-in ceremony are underway.
