Nitish Kumar Scheduled to Meet Prime Minister in Delhi

During his visit, Kumar is expected to hold discussions with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP president J P Nadda as well. This visit follows the recent meeting between Bihar Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, both from the BJP, with the Prime Minister on Monday.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is set to visit New Delhi on Wednesday for a significant meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This marks Kumar's first visit to the national capital and his initial encounter with Modi since he decided to leave the Mahagathbandhan alliance and rejoin the NDA in Bihar on January 28. The meeting holds particular significance as it precedes the trust vote scheduled for the Kumar government on February 12.

According to sources within the JD(U), the upcoming Rajya Sabha polls in Bihar may also be on the agenda during Kumar's discussions with top BJP leaders. Six Rajya Sabha seats in Bihar are set to become vacant, with elections scheduled for February 27. Currently, two seats belong to the JD(U), two to the RJD, one to the BJP, and one to the Congress. The terms of these seats are due to end on April 2.
