Sharma sounded deeply concerned while writing, "The commission strongly condemns this act and is deeply concerned about its happening. Such incidents not only endanger women but also foster a culture of disrespect and brutalizing them."

Simultaneously, the JD-S party has acted by suspending Prajwal Revanna and has also announced that if the ongoing SIT inquiry finds him responsible, he will be thrown out of the party with immediate effect.
