This action follows the registration of an FIR by the Delhi Police on Sunday concerning a manipulated video of the Home Minister. The video, which distorted his remarks indicating a commitment to abolish reservation quotas for Muslims in Telangana, was edited to suggest that he advocated the elimination of all reservation policies.

"We received complaints concerning the edited video of the Home Minister. Two separate complaints were lodged, one from the BJP and another from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). Subsequently, the Delhi Police Special Cell Cyber Wing's IFSO unit initiated legal proceedings by filing an FIR," a source revealed.

"The video appears to be manipulated, disseminating false information with the aim of sowing discord among communities, potentially disrupting public tranquility and order. The Ministry has urged for appropriate legal measures to be taken in accordance with the law," the FIR stated based on the Ministry's communication.

The complaint further mentioned the attachment of a report detailing the links and handles responsible for sharing the doctored videos of the Home Minister.
