Lalduhoma, President of the Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM), was inaugurated as the 14th Chief Minister of Mizoram in a ceremony administered by Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati. Alongside Lalduhoma, 11 other ministers were sworn in, seven of whom hold cabinet ranks and four state minister positions. Notably, Lalrinpuii is the sole woman in the 12-member council.
Among these ministers, seven are first-time winners, signifying a shift in leadership. The cabinet comprises K. Sapdanga, Vanlalhlana, C. Lalsawivunga, Lalthansanga, Dr. Vanlalthlana, P.C. Vanlalruata, and Lalrinpuii, while the state ministers include F. Rodingliana, B. Lalchhanzova, Prof. Lalnilawma, and Lalnghinglova Hmar.
The swearing-in ceremony drew the presence of outgoing Chief Minister Zoramthanga, former Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla, political figures, newly elected MLAs, and senior civil and security officials.
