Veteran BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani, a stalwart who tirelessly campaigned for the Ram temple in Ayodhya, will not be attending the Pran Pratishtha ceremony due to the severe cold weather conditions.
The decision not to participate in the ceremony has been made with the utmost consideration for the health of the 96-year-old leader and in light of the extreme cold temperatures. Earlier this month, RSS leaders Krishna Gopal and Ram Lal, along with Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s International Working President Alok Kumar, had extended an invitation to Advani for the ceremony during their visit to his residence.
Initially, Alok Kumar had indicated that Advani would be in attendance, assuring that all necessary arrangements, including medical facilities, would be provided considering Advani's health. However, due to the adverse weather conditions, Advani had to cancel his Ayodhya visit at the last moment.
Expressing joy about the upcoming Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya, Advani, in one of his articles, had remarked that Lord Ram had chosen Prime Minister Narendra Modi to build his temple. Reflecting on his Rath Yatra for the Ram temple, Advani highlighted that Prime Minister Modi, who was not widely known at that time, was by his side throughout the entire journey. Destiny, according to Advani, had designated Modi to realize the vision of constructing a grand temple dedicated to Lord Ram.
In extending his congratulations to Prime Minister Modi for fulfilling the dream of the Ram temple, Advani conveyed that when the Prime Minister inaugurates the temple, he will be representing every citizen of the country at that moment.
