"I have been consistently highlighting the issue of insulin for the past 10 days. I have demonstrated to every visiting doctor my consistently high blood sugar levels, ranging between 250-320, with fasting levels consistently in the range of 160-200. Nearly every day, I have requested insulin. How then could the statement be made that I never raised the issue?" Kejriwal articulated in his letter, as conveyed by AAP sources.

Contrary to the purported claims of the Tihar administration, AAP sources revealed that during Kejriwal's video consultation with doctors from AIIMS, there was no mention of reassurance. Instead, the doctors assured they would provide feedback after scrutinizing his medical data and history.

"The Tihar administration is peddling falsehoods under political pressure," alleged AAP sources.

Furthermore, on Saturday, a virtual meeting was arranged between Kejriwal and a Senior Specialist from AIIMS by the Tihar jail administration. However, neither Kejriwal brought up the matter of insulin nor was it recommended by the medical experts during the 40-minute consultation, as per prison sources.

The medical specialist from AIIMS obtained comprehensive records of Kejriwal's Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) sensor readings, along with details of his dietary regimen and medication.

"Neither did Kejriwal raise the issue of insulin nor was it suggested by the doctors," reiterated prison sources.

Earlier, the Tihar jail administration, in a report submitted to Delhi Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena, asserted that Kejriwal had been on insulin for several years, which he discontinued a few months prior after consulting a physician in Telangana. The report cited medical records from RML Hospital in Delhi, affirming that Kejriwal had not been advised insulin and did not exhibit any requirement for it, reiterating that he was solely on oral anti-diabetic medication.

Kejriwal, arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on March 21 in connection with an alleged excise policy scam, is currently detained in Jail No. 2 under judicial custody until April 23.
