Jayant Sinha Opts Out of Lok Sabha Election Race

On Saturday, BJP Member of Parliament Jayant Sinha announced his decision to step away from direct electoral responsibilities, conveying his request to party president J P Nadda. This move aligns him with a growing list of party figures opting out of contesting the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Earlier in the day, Gautam Gambhir, BJP's East Delhi MP, similarly expressed his desire to be relieved from political responsibilities to focus on his impending cricket engagements.

Sinha, a former Union Minister, expressed his intent to redirect his efforts towards combating global climate change, both within India and on an international scale. Reflecting on his decade-long service to the people of India and Hazaribagh, he extended his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and the BJP leadership for the opportunities bestowed upon him.

In his social media post on X, Sinha concluded with a patriotic note, saying, "I have had the privilege of serving the people of Bharat and Hazaribagh for the past ten years. Moreover, I have been blessed by the many opportunities provided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and the BJP leadership. My sincerest gratitude to all of them. Jai Hind!"
