On Wednesday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unveiled its second roster of 72 contenders for the imminent Lok Sabha elections, with a notable inclusion of six nominees from Haryana. Among these nominees stands former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, marking his debut in parliamentary elections.
Khattar's nomination follows closely on the heels of his resignation as Chief Minister, culminating his tenure which commenced in 2014. He now steps into the electoral arena as a candidate for the Karnal Lok Sabha constituency.
Nayab Singh Saini has assumed the mantle of Chief Minister succeeding Khattar, signaling a transition within the state leadership.
Further, the party's lineup encompasses Ashok Tanwar vying for the Sirsa seat (SC), Banto Kataria contesting from Ambala (SC), Chaudhary Dharamabir Singh representing Bhiwani-Mahendragarh, Rao Inderjit Singh Yadav from Gurgaon, and Krishan Pal Gurjar from Faridabad.
