Congress tied hands of our soldiers, we gave them full freedom to retaliate: PM Modi's Stance on Military Freedom

Attacking the Congress, PM Modi said, “We have asked our jawans to fire 10 bullets in response to one."

In his recent speech, Prime Minister Narendra Modi targeted the Congress party for curbing the arms of the soldiers in the past. He added that with his government taking the charge of the country, the armed forces have been given a free hand to respond appropriately to any provocation.

PM Modi said that the BJP had shown nothing—nothing is more important than the nation for it. He said that “While for Congress, their own family is everything. Hence, the Congress government, for so many years, did not fulfil demands like One Rank One Pension (OROP) for soldiers. As soon as we formed the government, we implemented OROP. We also addressed the concerns of soldiers standing at the border."

In another public rally, PM Modi again addressed two public rallies and took a roadshow in Bhopal trying to impress upon the people how the BJP was the Stronghold and it had won seven times consecutively from the Morena Lok Sabha constituency. In fact, in the first two terms, the constituency was represented by the former Union Minister and the then Madhya Pradesh Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar. He was followed by Shivmangal Singh Tomar, who was also once a BJP MLA.
