Congress Nominee Akshay Bam Withdraws from Indore Lok Sabha Race

It was confirmed that Bam has decided to pull out of the electoral race.

A spokesperson said that Congress nominee Akshay Kanti Bam had expressed his intention to withdraw his candidature in the Lok Sabha constituency of Indore in Madhya Pradesh, where he was to contest against the sitting BJP MP Shankar Lalwani in the upcoming elections scheduled for May 13. Apparently reacting to the news, senior BJP leader, state cabinet minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, invited the former chief minister to join the party with a warm welcome.

 Via a social media post, Vijayvargiya conveyed, "We extend a warm invitation to Akshay Kanti Bam, the Congress nominee for the Indore Lok Sabha seat, to join the BJP family under the esteemed leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, our party's national president JP Nadda, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, and state president VD Sharma."
