He is expected to attend swearing-in of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday evening.
Kharge would attend the programme in accordance to his position as Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha.
It follows consultative internally with other partners of the INDIA bloc, sources said.
On Sunday, Prime Minister Modi will take his oath at 7:15 p.m. Several members of the Council of Ministers are also likely to take an oath along with him.
Leaders of some neighboring countries, as well as Indian Ocean region, have also been invited.
Among them are the President of Sri Lanka Ranil Wickremesinghe, President of the Maldives Mohamed Muizzu, Vice President of Seychelles Ahmed Afif, Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of Mauritius Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, Prime Minister of Nepal Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda and Prime Minister of Bhutan Tshering Tobgay.
After the function, these dignitaries would also be part of a banquet to be hosted by President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
