BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi on Wednesday said that controversial statements made by Congress leaders in the last few days during Operation Sindoor are not coincidental or slips of the tongue. Rather, he called them part of a planned and well-coordinated attempt at provoking anti-India feelings.
Addressing the media, BJP national spokesperson ridiculed Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge for terming Operation Sindoor as a 'chutput' (minor) war, understanding this as a sign of the INDIA alliance's problematic mindset.
Trivedi further blamed Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, and other leaders of the INDIA alliance for giving excessive confidence to Pakistan's propaganda machine by giving traction to its anti-India campaign.
Just by referring to their bloc as the INDIA bloc doesn't make them Indian in spirit. Their remarks are picked up with alacrity by Pakistani media and the ruling authorities there, who use them to further an anti-India agenda globally," he claimed.
Pointing to Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's public admission of Indian missiles hitting the Nur Khan airbase, Trivedi condemned the INDIA bloc leaders for refuting these facts and instead questioning the Indian military.
He also accused leaders of Congress of lacking respect for the armed forces and pointed to their recent conduct as proof of indulging in pro-Pakistani polarization.
Trivedi also asserted that various INDIA bloc leaders like Rahul Gandhi have become popular on Pakistani television channels.
"INDIA bloc is nothing but a pretense. Considering how often its leaders are being showcased on Pakistani channels, it is fast becoming a Popular Front of Pakistan," he accused.
"Fierce competition seems to be there within the Congress party to become visible on Pakistani channels. Their leaders seem to be competing to see who can get better TRP ratings there," he further added.
