CM Yogi Adityanath Slams Congress Manifesto as 'Anyay Patra' for SC, ST, OBC & Sanatan Dharm

In Gorakhpur, he addressed reporters, likening the Congress manifesto to a modern iteration of the Muslim League, expressing deep dismay at the direction taken by the country's oldest political party.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath asserted on Wednesday that the manifesto presented by the Congress party wasn't a 'Nyay Patra' (Justice Document) but rather an 'Anyay Patra' (Injustice Document) for the marginalized communities such as Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Castes, and adherents of Sanatan Dharm.

Responding to accusations leveled by Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, who alleged that the BJP was fostering a politics of division and hatred, CM Adityanath challenged her to speak truthfully instead of resorting to falsehoods.

He highlighted the unity fostered across the nation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, emphasizing the vision of 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat' (One India, Great India) which he believes will thwart any attempts at deception by political rivals during elections.

Drawing historical parallels, CM Adityanath accused the Congress of inheriting and perpetuating the British policy of 'divide and rule', citing instances from the pre and post-independence era where caste, regional, and linguistic divisions were exploited for political gains.

He questioned the legacy of Sonia Gandhi's tenure as the chairperson of the UPA from 2004 to 2014, highlighting attempts made by the Congress to dilute OBC reservations through the Justice Ranganath Mishra Committee, which proposed allocating a portion of OBC quotas to Muslims. These attempts, he noted, were staunchly opposed by the BJP and NDA, preventing their fruition.

Further, he criticized Congress for its alleged encroachment upon the rights of SC-ST communities, referencing endeavors to include certain Muslim groups in the Scheduled Caste category as outlined in the Sachar Committee report, which were thwarted by opposition from the NDA and BJP.

Turning his focus to specific instances, the Chief Minister lambasted Congress for its role in the implementation of Article 370 in Kashmir and for undermining OBC reservations in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
