Another important item on the agenda is the election of the party's National President, which in all likelihood is going to be unanimous in favour of Chirag Paswan's re-election.

The LJP Jharkhand unit has prepared the list of 28 finalised Assembly seats in the state and forwarded them to the party's high command for approval in view of the impending meeting. Discussions in relation to the proposal will take place in the meeting and decisions will be taken for the seats the party will be contesting in under NDA led by BJP. Virendra Pradhan, LJP's State President said "We are ready to fight this battle with all our might. The party will move accordingly as per the decision taken by the national leadership and the directions forward.

During the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, the NDA in Jharkhand had participated with just two parties—the BJP and AJSU. Now, it turns out that, at this above-mentioned moment, when Nitish Kumar's JDU and Chirag Paswan's LJP, among others, are interested in contesting a few seats, the BJP, being the largest party in the NDA, has not said anything about their claims.
