The meeting, initially scheduled by Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge in Delhi on Wednesday, has been postponed to a later date that suits all participants.

After the Congress faced significant defeats in the recent Assembly elections in three states, Chirag Paswan, the chief of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), accused Nitish Kumar of attempting to quietly withdraw from the Opposition alliance in India. Paswan claimed that Nitish Kumar's efforts to unite opposition parties are failing, and he pointed to Kumar's refusal to attend a meeting called by the Congress as evidence of this.

The meeting, initially scheduled by Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge in Delhi on Wednesday, has been postponed to a later date that suits all participants. Chirag Paswan asserted that Nitish Kumar's leadership in the Mahagathbandhan has already admitted defeat, emphasizing that the opposition unity is in disarray.

Paswan suggested that Kumar's avoidance of the Congress meeting indicates fear of defeat and an attempt to withdraw from the bloc. While Paswan claimed that this is just the beginning, sources countered that the meeting was arranged with short notice, and Kumar, who is reportedly unwell, decided not to attend.
