Union Minister of Food Processing Chirag Paswan defended the Bihar Chief Minister after RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav claimed that senior officials were stopping Nitish Kumar from speaking his mind.
Paswan hailed the Chief Minister's strong will and said no one could control Nitish Kumar.
Who knows Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, knows how much will power a leader he is. You may not agree with his policies or style of governance, but nobody should have ever tried to control him," Paswan said while speaking to the media persons in Patna on Tuesday.
He also blamed the Opposition, saying they don't have any good issue and are going for personal attacks against Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
"I want to repeat my statement that the Opposition leaders have no issues to talk about and hence they are making personal allegations and attacking the Chief Minister," Paswan claimed.
Talking about speculations that Nitish Kumar is going to retire in 2025, Chirag Paswan said that this is nothing but a matter of rumour and he is intact for the next assembly elections.
"Those who are dreaming of the Chief Minister's retirement from politics, I want to tell them that the NDA will contest under the leadership of Nitish Kumar in the 2025 Assembly elections of Bihar, ," he said.
Chirag Paswan made the statement a day after Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav alleged that top officials were preventing Nitish Kumar from speaking publicly or addressing the media.
Yadav made these claims after a program organized by the Rural Development Department at the Chief Minister's residence in Patna.
He targeted Nitish Kumar, claiming X that the program lasted only nine minutes despite splurging crores in advertisements.
Yadav further alleged that although District Magistrates from all over Bihar attended through video conferencing, the ministers and other officers were present at the venue and the programme concluded abruptly without Nitish Kumar saying a word on the implementation of rural development projects.
