Chirag Paswan Asserts Nitish Kumar's Remarks on Women and Dalits Impact Congress in Three States

He criticized the opposition's tactics, mentioning Prime Minister Modi's comments during the election campaign about divisive caste-based surveys conducted in Bihar.

Chirag Paswan of the LJPR shared his thoughts on the recent assembly elections, attributing the Congress's losses in three states to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's alleged anti-woman and anti-Dalit remarks. According to Paswan, Kumar's comments against women in the state assembly and his alleged insults to Dalits, including Paswan's father Ram Vilash Paswan and former CM Jitan Ram Manjhi, affected the Congress's performance.

He criticized the opposition's tactics, mentioning Prime Minister Modi's comments during the election campaign about divisive caste-based surveys conducted in Bihar. Paswan claimed that these surveys were not based on groundwork and were merely a political strategy. He suggested that the Congress's support for such surveys backfired, resulting in their electoral setback.

Paswan highlighted successful schemes like Ladli and Bahana introduced by the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh as contributing positively to their performance. He contrasted these programs with Bihar's liquor ban, claiming that despite the ban, illicit alcohol remains available, leading to tragic incidents.

Regarding his political future, Paswan indicated that he intends to contest the Lok Sabha elections solely from the Hajipur seat, currently held by his uncle and Union Minister Pasupati Kumar Paras.
