"My work and commitment to taking India forward and Thiruvananthapuram, as a karyakarta of BJP remains as relentless as before," he added.

Emphasizing trajectory of advancing India and Thiruvananthapuram constituency as a worker of BJP party, Chandrasekhar reiterated in no uncertain terms that his commitment to responsibility remains steadfast. However impressive this figure is, at 3,42,078 votes, it was Chandrasekhar who was given the thumbs-down by the competitor on counting day when Congress bigwig Shashi Tharoor defeated him. Tharoor, with 3,58,155 votes, emerged victorious once again in the hustings from this constituency, presenting himself as a formidable challenger to the campaign run by Chandrasekhar.
