BJP Leaders Honor Arun Jaitley on the 5th Anniversary of His Passing

The national capital on Saturday saw a gathering of the various leaders and workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party  to pay tribute to their senior leader, late Arun Jaitley. Jaitley was the Finance Minister of India on his fifth death anniversary. It is a big loss that can never be fulfilled, for he was our role model as workers. He used to encourage and inspire us with his vast knowledge. His death is a loss for the BJP and the Modi government, and it's a big blow to the whole nation.

He further stressed that Jaitley has left behind a multidimensional legacy as a Minister, parliamentarian, and as a human being. "We miss him; he was unbelievable in his calculations and insights. His spirit is still there to guide us though he is no longer with us."

Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, Member of Parliament from South Delhi, also paid homage to the departed leader.

He told IANS, "Arun Jaitley is not just a leader of Delhi but a big leader of India. After his death, Delhi BJP workers felt orphaned, his door was always open to us whenever any problem arose. We have gathered here to pay him homage and tribute.

A prominent Indian politician and lawyer, Arun Jaitley, died on August 24, 2019, in Delhi after a long illness.

He was 66 years old and passed away at AIIMS, New Delhi.

He was the Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs in the period from 2014 to 2019. His major portfolios during the course of his career include finance, Defence, corporate affairs, commerce and industry, and law and justice, both in the governments of Vajpayee and Modi.

He served as the Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha during the period of 2009 to 2014.
